A MARINE WEATHER STATEMENT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS...
CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN BAY OF GREEN BAY...
NEARSHORE WATERS FROM WASHINGTON ISLAND TO SHEBOYGAN...
OPEN WATERS OF LAKE MICHIGAN FROM ROCK ISLAND PASSAGE TO SHEBOYGAN...

AT 844 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED BANDS OF SHOWERS AND STORMS
TRACKING OVER THE BAY OF GREEN BAY AS WELL AS LAKE MICHIGAN.  THE
SHOWERS AND STORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT 30 KNOTS.

THE STORMS AND SHOWERS WERE ASSOCIATED WITH A COLD FRONT MOVING OVER
THE WATERS THIS MORNING.  SOUTH WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO SHIFT TO THE
WEST OR SOUTHWEST AFTER PASSAGE.

THE COLD FRONT AND WIND SHIFT WILL BE NEAR...

  CHAMBERS ISLAND AROUND 1010 AM CDT.
  EAGLE BLUFF LIGHT AROUND 1025 AM CDT.
  DETROIT ISLAND AND GILLS ROCK AROUND 1045 AM CDT.

OTHER LOCATIONS IMPACTED BY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS INCLUDE PENSAUKEE...
ROWLEYS BAY...SISTER BAY...BAILEYS HARBOR...GILLS ROCK...LITTLE
STURGEON BAY...TWO RIVERS AND LITTLE SUAMICO.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS UP TO 33 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THESE STORMS PASS.
