A MARINE WEATHER STATEMENT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS...

NEARSHORE WATERS FROM WASHINGTON ISLAND TO STURGEON BAY...
OPEN WATERS OF LAKE MICHIGAN FROM ROCK ISLAND PASSAGE TO STURGEON
BAY...

AT 1228 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS...
CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS UP TO 33 KNOTS. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED
ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 7 NM NORTHEAST OF EAGLE BLUFF LIGHT TO NEAR CANA
ISLAND LIGHT TO 8 NM EAST OF JACKSONPORT...MOVING NORTHEAST AT 25 KNOTS.

STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE NEAR...
  ROWLEYS BAY AROUND 1230 AM CDT.
  DETROIT ISLAND AROUND 1245 AM CDT.

ADDITIONAL THUNDERSTORMS WERE NOTED ON RADAR ACROSS PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST
WISCONSIN EARLY THIS MORNING. THESE STORMS WILL MOVE ACROSS THE BAY OF
GREEN BAY INTO THE COASTAL WATERS OF LAKE MICHIGAN NORTH OF MANITOWOC
THROUGH 130 AM CDT.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS UP TO 33 KNOTS...LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES...AND LIGHTNING STRIKES. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THESE STORMS PASS.
