...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR WOOD COUNTY UNTIL 430 PM CDT...

At 312 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms 12
miles northeast of Millston, or 19 miles southeast of Neillsville,
moving east at 25 mph.

Half inch hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Wisconsin Rapids, Pittsville, Babcock, Lake Wazeecha, Nekoosa, Port
Edwards, Biron, Vesper, Rudolph and Cranmoor.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may
lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through
flooded roadways.

Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
