...SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW WILL MAKE FOR HAZARDOUS TRAVEL TODAY...

LIGHT TO OCCASIONALLY MODERATE SNOW AND STRONG NORTHEAST WINDS
WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE FOX VALLEY AND LAKESHORE AREAS THROUGH
THE MORNING. AT 8 AM...RADAR SHOWED THE HEAVIEST BAND OF SNOW OVER
FAR SOUTHERN KEWAUNEE...SOUTHEAST BROWN AND NORTHERN MANITOWOC
COUNTIES. THIS AREA OF SNOW WAS IMPACTING TRAVEL ON INTERSTATE 43
FROM BELLEVUE TO FRANCIS CREEK. ANOTHER BAND OF LAKE-ENHANCED
SNOW WAS AFFECTING THE TWO RIVERS AND MANITOWOC AREAS. SNOWFALL
RATES OF A HALF INCH TO AN INCH AN HOUR ARE POSSIBLE WITHIN THE
HEAVIEST BANDS OF SNOW...SO AREA ROADS WILL BE SNOW COVERED AND
SLIPPERY. NORTHEAST WINDS GUSTING TO 30 TO 40 MPH WILL CAUSE
CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF THE NEW SNOW.

HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS ARE ANTICIPATED THIS MORNING...
ESPECIALLY OVER THE SOUTHERN FOX VALLEY AND LAKESHORE AREAS.
WEEKEND TRAVELERS SHOULD SLOW DOWN AND KEEP A SAFE DISTANCE FROM
OTHER VEHICLES.

A WINTER STORM TRACKING OVER THE UPPER MIDWEST WILL CONTINUE TO
PRODUCE LIGHT SNOW OVER CENTRAL WISCONSIN...ESPECIALLY SOUTH OF
HIGHWAY 10. NORTHEAST WINDS GUSTING TO 20 TO 25 MPH WILL ALSO
CAUSE SOME MINOR DRIFTING OF THE SNOW.

SNOW COVERED ROADS WILL RESULT IN LOCALLY HAZARDOUS DRIVING
CONDITIONS THIS MORNING. WEEKEND TRAVELERS SHOULD SLOW DOWN
AND KEEP A SAFE DISTANCE FROM OTHER VEHICLES.
