...SNOW CREATING HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS IN NORTHERN WISCONSIN...

SNOW SHOWERS WERE WIDESPREAD ACROSS FAR NORTHERN WISCONSIN AT
MIDNIGHT. THE SNOW WAS FALLING QUITE HEAVILY AT TIMES...WITH MANY
LOCATIONS IN VILAS AND NORTHERN ONEIDA COUNTIES REPORTING 1 TO 2
INCHES OF SNOW ALREADY. WINDS WERE ALSO QUITE GUSTY...AND
PRODUCING SOME BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF THE SNOW. TRAVEL CONDITIONS
ACROSS THE REGION WERE REPORTED TO BE POOR...DUE TO LOW
VISIBILITIES AND VERY SLIPPERY ROADWAYS.

THE HEAVIEST SNOW IS FALLING NOW AND WILL CONTINUE THROUGH ABOUT
200 AM OR 300 AM. ALTHOUGH SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE AFTER THAT
TIME...THE INTENSITY OF THE SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DIMINISH.

THE SNOW SHOWERS WILL EXPAND SOUTH AND EAST...AND WILL AFFECT THE
REMAINDER OF NORTH-CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST WISCONSIN IN THE HOURS
AFTER MIDNIGHT. ACCUMULATIONS IN THESE AREAS WILL BE MUCH
LIGHTER...BUT THERE COULD STILL BE ENOUGH SNOW TO COAT THE
ROADWAYS AND LEAD TO HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS.

ANYONE TRAVELING ACROSS NORTHERN WISCONSIN SHOULD USE EXTRA
CAUTION.
