...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM CDT EARLY THIS
MORNING FOR EAST CENTRAL LIMESTONE, CENTRAL MADISON AND WEST CENTRAL
JACKSON COUNTIES...

At 110 AM CDT, Earlier thunderstorms produced between 1 and 3 inches
of rain and flash flooding continues to occur from excessive runoff!

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Trained spotters reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Huntsville, Madison, Athens, Scottsboro, Moores Mill,
  Meridianville, Redstone Arsenal, Hollywood, Skyline, Gurley,
  Alabama A And M University, University Of Alabama In Huntsville,
  Harvest, Pleasant Groves, Ryland, Brownsboro, Maysville, Garth,
  Trenton and Hollytree.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
