This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Central Kansas,
South Central Kansas and Southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Tonight

Scattered showers and thunderstorms will impact far southern and
southeast Kansas this evening. The primary threats will be
occasional cloud-to-ground lightning and brief heavy rain.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

A cold front will usher in drier air and breezy north winds,
resulting in very high fire danger across portions of central and
south central Kansas Friday afternoon.

Thunderstorm chances will return Saturday night through Sunday
night areawide. Strong thunderstorms and locally heavy rainfall are
possible during this time period.

Strong southerly winds may fuel very high fire danger for areas
along and west of the Flint Hills Sunday, but higher low level
moisture and precipitation may preclude elevated fire weather
concerns.

A brief transition to snow may be possible across central Kansas
late Sunday night into Monday morning. Some minor accumulations on
grassy and elevated surfaces may be possible.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated tonight.
