Northeastern Cowley County in south central Kansas...
* Until 930 PM CDT.
* At 903 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Winfield,
moving northeast at 50 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...At 858 PM 67 mph winds were measured at Strother Field.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
* Locations impacted include...
Burden, Atlanta, and Winfield City Lake.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
