...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 PM CDT
FOR NORTHWESTERN ST. MARTIN AND SOUTHEASTERN ST. LANDRY PARISHES...
At 459 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Cecilia, or 7
miles east of Arnaudville, moving east at 40 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Breaux Bridge, Krotz Springs, Leonville, Arnaudville, Henderson,
Cecilia, Atchafalaya Welcome Center, and Atchafalaya National
Wildlife Refuge.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for central and
south central Louisiana.
