FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...Low pressure of 29.4 inches over south central Iowa
will move slowly northeast across northern Illinois and southern
Lake Michigan through this evening, then will fill to 29.5 inches
Tuesday morning as it begins to accelerate across lower Michigan.
The gradient will gradually weaken across the western Lakes
Tuesday evening as the low continues to lift up the St. Lawrence
Valley. Weak high pressure ridging of 30.3 inches will move
across the western Great Lakes Wednesday, and to the northeast
U.S. on Friday, while strengthening to 30.7 inches. Another low of
29.4 inches will develop in lee of the northern Rockies Thursday
night, moving to near James Bay by Saturday morning. A cold front
trailing from this low will push across the lake by late Saturday.

light sleet and slight chance of freezing rain this evening...then
snow likely with pockets of sleet with rain and freezing rain
likely overnight. Waves 8 to 12 ft occasionally to 16 ft.
.TUESDAY...North gales to 40 kt diminishing to gales to 35 kt.
Chance of snow in the morning...then slight chance of snow in the
afternoon. Waves 10 to 14 ft occasionally to 18 ft subsiding to
8 to 11 ft occasionally to 14 ft.
.TUESDAY NIGHT...North winds to 30 kt diminishing to 10 to 20 kt.
Waves 7 to 10 ft occasionally to 13 ft subsiding to 3 to 5 ft.
.WEDNESDAY...North winds 10 to 20 kt diminishing to 10 to 15 kt.
Waves 2 to 4 ft subsiding to 1 to 3 ft.

25 kt late this evening...then becoming west to 30 kt after
midnight becoming northwest gales to 35 kt toward morning. Areas
of dense fog this evening. Rain likely with slight chance of
thunderstorms this evening...then a mix of rain and snow overnight.
Waves 5 to 8 ft occasionally to 10 ft building to 8 to 12 ft
occasionally to 16 ft.
.TUESDAY...Northwest gales to 40 kt diminishing to gales to
35 kt. Chance of snow and slight chance of light freezing rain in
the morning...then chance of snow in the afternoon. Waves 10 to
