FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON LAKE MICHIGAN.

WAVES ARE PROVIDED AS A RANGE OF SIGNIFICANT WAVE HEIGHTS...WHICH
IS THE AVERAGE HEIGHT OF THE HIGHEST 1/3 OF THE WAVES...ALONG
WITH THE AVERAGE HEIGHT OF THE HIGHEST 10 PERCENT OF THE WAVES
WHICH WILL OCCASIONALLY BE ENCOUNTERED.

.SYNOPSIS...AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE AVERAGING 29.6 INCHES
EXTENDING FROM CENTRAL ILLINOIS NORTHEAST TO CENTRAL LOWER
MICHIGAN WILL REMAIN NEARLY STATIONARY OVER THE SOUTHERN END OF
THE LAKE THROUGH MUCH OF THE DAY. THE LOW IS THEN GRADUALLY
EXPECTED TO SHIFT EASTWARD OVER THE OHIO VALLEY AND EASTERN LAKES
REGIONS TONIGHT INTO THURSDAY. FOLLOWING THE PASSAGE OF WEAK
SURFACE RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE ON THURSDAY...ANOTHER AREA OF LOW
PRESSURE AROUND 29.3 INCHES IS EXPECTED TO SHIFT EASTWARD ACROSS
THE DAKOTAS TO NEAR LAKE SUPERIOR BY THURSDAY NIGHT. BY FRIDAY
THIS NEW AREA OF LOW PRESSURE IS FORECAST TO MERGE WITH THE
REMNANTS OF THE EASTERN GREAT LAKES LOW OVER EASTERN ONTARIO. AS
THIS OCCURS...THE LOW IS FORECAST TO DEEPEN TO AROUND 29.1
