Open Lake Forecast for Lake Superior

For waters beyond 5 nautical miles of shore on Lake Superior.

Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the
highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the
average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum.

.SYNOPSIS...High pressure at 30.4 inches currently extends from
southern Manitoba to Lake Superior and will continue to shift east
through Northern Ontario this evening and tonight. The high will
shift to southern Quebec on Sunday as deep low pressure of 29.0
inches organizes over eastern Colorado. This low will then weaken
to 29.4 inches as it lifts northeast, crossing western Lake
Superior during Tuesday afternoon. As the low weakens further to
29.5 inches while lifting across northern Ontario during Tuesday
night and Wednesday, high pressure of 30.2 inches will build
southeast through the Dakotas to the Mid- Mississippi Valley. On
Thursday the high shifts east toward the Great Lakes while
weakening to 30.1 inches.
