...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 AM EDT SATURDAY...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of southeast Florida, including the following
counties, Broward and Miami-Dade.
* WHEN...Until 200 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1140 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
slow moving thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and
2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are expected
over the area with these thunderstorms. This additional rain
will result in minor flooding. If the rainfall amounts
increase more than forecast, then a Flash Flood warning may
be needed for this area.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Miramar, Miami Gardens, Hallandale, North Miami, North Miami
Beach, Aventura, Sunny Isles Beach, Opa-Locka, West Park,
Golden Glades, Ojus, Hard Rock Stadium, Pinewood, Westview,
West Little River, Pembroke Park, Golden Beach and Ives
Estates.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.
