Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southern Wisconsin
National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI
349 PM CDT Tue Apr 16 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Gusty easterly winds will continue today as the low pressure
system approach central Wisconsin. A couple rounds of rain and
thunderstorms will move through this afternoon/evening and
again early Wednesday morning right around daybreak. Overnight
is likely to remain dry as the dry slot works its way into the
state. Wednesday morning and early afternoon will be mostly
isolated to scattered convection. As the low pressure moves
northeast out of the state Wednesday afternoon/evening dry
conditions will return for the entire forecast. Minimum RH values
will remain elevated over the next 3 days with values 60% or
higher being likely. Winds will become westerly Wednesday gusts
will diminish to around 20 kts during the day. Gusty west winds
will persist through Thursday.
