FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MARQUETTE MI
454 AM EDT TUE MAY 31 2016

...SHOWERS SPREADING WEST TO EAST ACROSS UPPER MICHIGAN THIS
AFTERNOON THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING...

.DISCUSSION...A SLOW MOVING UPPER-LEVEL LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL
GRADUALLY SPREAD RAIN SHOWERS AND POSSIBLY A FEW THUNDERSTORMS
WEST TO EAST ACROSS UPPER MICHIGAN THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING.
HOWEVER...THE EAST HALF WILL REMAIN DRY THROUGH THIS EVENING...WITH
THE FAR EAST LIKELY REMAINING DRY THROUGH MUCH OF WEDNESDAY. COOLER
AND DRIER CONDITIONS ARE FORECAST FOR THURSDAY AND FRIDAY AS HIGH
PRESSURE DRIFTS ACROSS THE UPPER GREAT LAKES. A COOL AND UNSETTLED
WEEKEND IS THEN EXPECTED WITH CHANCES FOR SHOWERS AS AN UPPER-LEVEL
LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM SETTLES OVER THE REGION.
