FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR UPPER MICHIGAN
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MARQUETTE MI
553 AM EDT WED JUL 30 2014

...UNSETTLED WEATHER PATTERN CONTINUES WITH BELOW NORMAL
TEMPERATURES...

.DISCUSSION...AN UPPER LEVEL LOW NEAR JAMES BAY WILL SWING SEVERAL
DISTURBANCES ACROSS UPPER MICHIGAN THE REST OF THE WEEK. THESE
DISTURBANCES ALONG WITH DAYTIME HEATING WILL RESULT IN SCATTERED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS...MOSTLY DURING THE AFTERNOON AND EVENING
HOURS. THE BEST CHANCES FOR RAIN WILL BE AWAY FROM LAKE SUPERIOR AND
CLOSER TO THE LAKE BREEZE OFF LAKE MICHIGAN. SATURDAY SHOULD BE MAINLY
DRY...WITH A BETTER CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FOR SUNDAY AND
MONDAY AS SOME FRONTS WORK ACROSS THE REGION. HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL
REMAIN SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL TODAY...BUT WILL RISE BACK TO NORMAL VALUES
LATE THIS WEEK AND ON INTO THIS WEEKEND. NORMAL HIGH TEMPERATURES THIS
TIME OF YEAR ARE IN THE MIDDLE TO UPPER 70S.
