.DISCUSSION...

Idaho (Zones 102 and 103): Slightly cooler and higher MinRHs compared to
yesterday are expected this afternoon. Scattered light rainshowers will
develop after 1600 PDT, with isolated thunderstorms possible for the
Salmon River and Red River Districts. An overall pattern change to
cooler temperatures will arrive Friday, along with wetting rains
through Saturday. Another widespread wetting rain is likely for Monday,
with the next drying period not arriving until mid-week next week.

Northwest MT (Zones 104 and 105): Today will be the last day with
relatively mild and dry conditions, before an overall pattern change
arrives Friday. Widespread wetting rains are likely Friday through
Saturday, with the highest rainfall amounts expected in the Flathead NF
south of the Highway 2 Corridor, where there is around a 60% probability
of 0.25". Unsettled and cool conditions will persist through at least
Monday next week. The next drying period doesn`t look promising until
mid-week next week.

WestCentral MT (Zones 106, 107 and 108): Today will be the last day with
relatively mild and dry conditions, before an overall pattern change
arrives Friday. Widespread wetting rains are likely Friday through
Saturday, with the highest rainfall amounts expected in the Bitterroot
and East Lolo NFs, where there is around a 60% probability of 0.25".
Snow levels will lower to around 5500 feet by Saturday morning, with a
few inches of snowfall for elevations above 6000 feet. Unsettled and
cool conditions will persist through at least Monday next week. The next
drying period doesn`t look promising until mid-week next week.

Southwest MT (Zones 109, 110 and 111): Today will be the last day with
relatively mild and dry conditions, before an overall pattern change
arrives Friday. Widespread wetting rains and mountain snowfall are
likely Friday through Saturday. There remains better than a 50%
probability for wetting rains up to 0.25" through Saturday. Snowlevels
will lower to around 5500 feet by Saturday morning with a few inches of
snow accumulating through mid morning Saturday. Unsettled and
cool conditions will persist through at least Monday next week. The next
drying period doesn`t look promising until mid-week next week.
