...LIGHT SNOW SHOWERS AND GUSTY WINDS MAY IMPACT SIERRA TRAVEL
AND RECREATION TODAY...

* Light snow showers will continue throughout the morning before
tapering off in the afternoon. Prepare for slick roads and
slower travel during the morning commute today.

* Wind gusts this afternoon will reach 70 to 90 mph along ridges
with 30 to 40 mph in Sierra valleys. Lower elevation winds will
quickly diminish this evening, while Sierra crest winds remain
elevated much of this week. Expect bumpy flights and choppy lake
  waters.

increasing confidence in a strong northeast to east wind event
  on Thursday into Friday.
