Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 100 mph Path Length /statute/: 0.27 miles Path Width /maximum/: 150 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 04/02/2024 Start Time: 11:03 AM EDT Start Location: 1 SSE St. Albans / Kanawha County / WV Start Lat/Lon: 38.3699 / -81.8148 End Date: 04/02/2024 End Time: 11:03 AM EDT End Location: 1 SE St. Albans / Kanawha County / WV End Lat/Lon: 38.3709 / -81.8103 Survey Summary: EF1 tornado with maximum winds of 100 mph confirmed with a brief touchdown track within the Saint Albans City Park. Significant uprooting of hardwood trees oriented in a north-northeast direction was observed along City Park Drive. On the adjacent side of the road there were a mixture of hard and softwood trees that were either uprooted or snapped, oriented in a southeast direction indicating a clear converging damage swath.
