AREA...Eastern Oklahoma. ONSET...After Midnight. SIGNIFICANT WINDS. RISK...Limited. AREA...Mainly Northeast Oklahoma. ONSET...This Afternoon. DISCUSSION... Lingering thunderstorms early this morning are expected to mainly dissipate by late morning or early afternoon. South winds may gust up to 30 miles an hour at times this afternoon across parts of northeast Oklahoma. Numerous thunderstorms are expected to develop well to our west this afternoon and organize into one or more thunderstorm complexes later this evening and overnight as they move east into our area. Storms will likely be weakening as they move into eastern Oklahoma, but a few storms may still be marginally severe as they entire the area. Damaging winds are likely to be the main severe weather threat overnight. Locally heavy rainfall may also occur, which may lead to localized flooding issues. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Unsettled weather will continue through the weekend with multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms expected. Severe storms and heavy rainfall will be possible during this period, especially late Thursday and Thursday evening.
