Showers and storms are likely tonight and Wednesday as a low
pressure system moves through the region.
The chance for showers and storms will continue at times through
late week and into the weekend as a series of low pressure systems
move through. Temperatures will be within a few degrees of normal
It is then expected to get hot and humid late in the week, with heat
index values likely exceeding 100 degrees in many places Thursday
and possibly Friday. An Excessive Heat Watch remains in effect
across the southwest half of the state for Thursday and Friday.
Temperatures will return to near normal by Sunday.
Lows tonight will range from the low and mid 60s in the northeast,
to around 70 in the west.
High temperatures Wednesday will be in the low to mid 80s most
places, except for upper 80s in the northwest.
