Wisconsin Weather Summary
National Weather Service Milwaukee/Sullivan WI
457 AM CDT Tue Apr 18 2017

.YESTERDAY...

A passing weak area of low pressure brought a few light showers to
Wisconsin Monday morning through mid-afternoon. Temperatures
remained quite cool across far northern Wisconsin where clouds
lingered much of the day. Farther south, partial sunshine helped
temperatures climb into the 50s and 60s. A cold front swept rapidly
southward across eastern Wisconsin during the morning and across the
rest of the state in the afternoon and evening. Temperatures tumbled
rapidly as the front passed by. The coolest high temperature today
was 39 degrees measured at Superior, while the warmest temperature
was 73 degrees at Janesville and Boscobel.

.OVERNIGHT...

High clouds streamed across the state. Winds were easterly. Low
temperatures ranged from around 30 north to the lower 40s west and
south.

.FORECAST...

Rain will spread into northwest Wisconsin today as low pressure
tracks from the northern Great Plains to the Lake Superior region.
The remainder of the state will see scattered showers and
isolated thunderstorms this afternoon and night as the cold front
passes. Breezy south winds will usher mild air into the region
ahead of that front. High temperatures today will range from the
mid 50s north to around 70 south.

Heavier rainfall is then expected for much of the Badger
State for Wednesday afternoon into Thursday as another low
pressure area moves into the western Great Lakes. Some rivers will
likely rise to minor flood stage later in the week. Clouds, rain,
and brisk easterly winds will keep max temperatures in the 50s
for Wednesday and 40s to lower 50s on Thursday.
