EDT FRIDAY...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CARIBOU HAS ISSUED A HIGH SURF
ADVISORY...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM THIS MORNING TO 8 AM EDT
FRIDAY.

* LOCATION...OCEAN EXPOSED BEACHES.

* WAVES AND SURF...BUILDING TO 6 TO 9 FEET.

* TIMING...LATE THIS MORNING THROUGH EARLY FRIDAY.

* IMPACTS...INCREASED RISK OF DANGEROUS RIP CURRENTS AT AREA
  BEACHES AS WELL AS STRONGER THAN NORMAL WAVES. LARGE WAVES CAN
  SWEEP A PERSON INTO THE OCEAN FROM WHAT MAY NORMALLY BE A SAFE
  VIEWING AREA.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

PEOPLE ARE ALSO URGED TO REMAIN A SAFE DISTANCE FROM ROCKS...SEA
WALLS OR JETTIES. THE SIZE OF THE INCOMING WAVES WILL VARY
GREATLY OVER SHORT PERIODS OF TIME AND IF CAUGHT IN A WAVE YOU
COULD BE UNEXPECTEDLY WASHED INTO THE OCEAN.
