PORT ARANSAS...

.TIDE LEVELS HAVE FALLEN TO AROUND 1 FOOT ABOVE EXPECTED ALONG THE
COAST EARLY THIS MORNING. TIDE LEVELS COULD REACH 2 FEET MSL ALONG
THE COAST SOUTH OF PORT ARANSAS THIS MORNING AROUND HIGH TIDE.
MINOR TIDAL OVERFLOW IS NOT EXPECTED FOR THE BEACHES NORTH OF PORT
ARANSAS TO PORT O`CONNOR AS WELL AS THE INLAND BAYS.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN CORPUS CHRISTI HAS CANCELLED THE
COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY.

ALTHOUGH TIDE LEVELS CONTINUE TO BE AROUND A FOOT ABOVE EXPECTED
IN THIS AREA, TIDE LEVELS ARE ONLY EXPECTED TO REACH 1.5 FEET MSL.
WITH TIDE LEVELS NOT EXPECTED TO REACH ADVISORY CRITERIA OF 2
FEET MSL, THE COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

AFTERNOON...

* COASTAL FLOODING...PRIMARILY FOR GULF FACING BEACHES SOUTH OF
  PORT ARANSAS TO BAFFIN BAY.

* TIMING...MINOR TIDAL OVERFLOW WILL CONTINUE THIS MORNING AROUND
  THE TIME OF HIGH TIDE AND FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE MORNING. HIGH
  TIDE AT PORT ARANSAS IS AT 524 AM CDT. THE RIP CURRENT THREAT
  HAS DECREASED TO MODERATE THIS MORNING DUE TO A STRENGTHENING
  SOUTH WIND AND DECREASING LONG PERIOD SWELLS.

* IMPACTS...AT 2 FEET ABOVE MEAN SEA LEVEL...WAVE RUN UP MAY REACH
  THE DUNES RESULTING IN LIMITED BEACH DRIVING CONDITIONS. SOME
  BEACH AND ACCESS ROADS ARE ALREADY CLOSED. IN ADDITION...A
  MODERATE RIP CURRENT RISK CAN POTENTIALLY BE LIFE THREATENING
  ALONG GULF FACING BEACHES OF THE MIDDLE TEXAS COAST.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY INDICATES THAT ONSHORE WINDS AND TIDES
WILL COMBINE TO GENERATE FLOODING OF LOW AREAS ALONG THE SHORE.
