644 AM CHST THU JAN 19 2017

...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CHST FRIDAY...

* FOR NORTH FACING REEFS...LARGE NORTH SWELL WILL BRING HAZARDOUS
SURF OF 7 TO 9 FEET TO THE MARIANAS INTO THIS AFTERNOON BEFORE
BEGINNING TO SUBSIDE THIS EVENING...HOWEVER IT IS EXPECTED TO
REMAIN ABOVE HAZARDOUS LEVELS THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING.

* EAST FACING REEFS...HAZARDOUS SURF OF 9 TO 12 FEET WILL CONTINUE
THROUGH TONIGHT AS THE SWELL SHIFTS FARTHER TOWARD THE EAST.

* WEST FACING REEFS...SURF ON WEST FACING REEFS HAS DIMINISHED TO
BETWEEN 6 AND 8 FEET. THIS IS JUST BELOW HAZARDOUS LEVELS SO THE
HIGH SURF ADVISORY ON WEST FACING REEFS IS BEING CANCELED AS THE
SWELL VEERS FURTHER TO THE EAST.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

AVOID VENTURING NEAR REEFS ALONG EXPOSED BEACHES...ESPECIALLY
THOSE FACING NORTH...EAST AND WEST...AS RIP CURRENTS WILL BE LIFE-
THREATENING.
