...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1100 AM EDT FOR
WESTERN SUFFOLK COUNTY...

At 1044 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Radar estimated maximum hourly
rates of up to 2 inches per hour that will cause more serious
widespread urban flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage
areas and low lying spots.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Islip, Brentwood, Commack, Huntington Station, Centereach, Deer Park,
Lindenhurst, Hauppauge, Ronkonkoma, Stony Brook, Babylon, Holbrook,
Dix Hills, Smithtown and Bay Shore.
