The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern St. Tammany Parish in southeastern Louisiana...

* Until 400 PM CDT.

* At 1248 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 5 and 6 inches of rain
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Slidell, Pearl River and Slidell Airport.

This includes the following Interstates...
Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 261 and 270.
Interstate 12 between mile markers 80 and 84.
Interstate 59 in Louisiana between mile markers 1 and 7.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
