FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL/NORTHERN VERMONT AND
NORTHERN NEW YORK
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BURLINGTON VT
401 AM EDT THU MAY 26 2016

...WARMER AND MORE HUMID CONDITIONS ON THE WAY...

.DISCUSSION...
TODAY WILL BE THE LAST DAY FOR AFTERNOON RELATIVE HUMIDITIES IN
THE 30 PERCENT RANGE. A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL BE OVER THE
AREA TODAY BRINGING THE DRIER WEATHER AND HOLDING OFF ANY
PRECIPITATION CHANCES FOR MUCH OF THE AREA UNTIL TONIGHT. THAT IS
WHEN AN UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE MOVES INTO THE REGION ENHANCING
THE POTENTIAL FOR SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS. DEEPER MOISTURE
AND EVEN WARMER TEMPERATURES...ON THE ORDER OF 15 TO 20 DEGREES
WARMER...WILL THEN BE THE RULE ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY AS
SOUTHWEST FLOW ALOFT DEVELOPS OVER THE AREA. THERE WILL ALSO BE
THE POTENTIAL FOR AFTERNOON AND EVENING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS.
THIS PATTERN IS EXPECTED TO PERSIST RIGHT THROUGH EARLY NEXT WEEK.
THE HIGHER RELATIVE HUMIDITIES AND LIMITED WIND SUGGESTS FIRE
WEATHER CONCERNS WILL BE MINIMAL FROM A WEATHER PERSPECTIVE.
