.DISCUSSION...

A surface front will remain nearly stationary in the vicinity of the
CSRA and W and Central Midlands today and provide a chance of
thunderstorms in the afternoon. Expect SE to S winds. The front will
lift to the north as a warm front tonight and Friday morning
ahead of an upper trough and surface cold front approaching from the
west that will move through by Friday afternoon. Additional
thunderstorm actiivty expected tonight and Friday morning associated
with these features, some possibly severe. Winds are expected to
increase and veer to SW tonight and Friday morning. Drier air will begin
filtering into the region Friday afternoon, along with a wind shift to
WSW/W. Breezy conditions possible Friday. Areas of fog possible
tonight/early Friday morning north of the warm front, mainly N/NE areas.
