FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA...CORRECTED
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
254 PM EDT TUE AUG 4 2015

.DISCUSSION...
WEAK LOW PRESSURE ALONG THE SOUTH AND NORTH CAROLINA COASTAL
BORDER WILL CONTINUE TO WEAKEN AND SLOWLY SPIN NE. WEAK
HIGH PRESSURE AND SUBSIDENCE WILL KEEP THE MAJORITY OF THE
REGION WARM AND DRY THROUGH TOMORROW MORNING. A WEAK THERMAL
AND LEESIDE TROUGH SHOULD REMAIN THROUGH THE CENTRAL MIDLANDS
FOR WEDNESDAY...VEERING WINDS MORE SOUTHWESTERLY. AN INFLUX
OF GULF MOISTURE IS EXPECTED TO INFILTRATE THE CSRA...WESTERN
AND SOUTHERN MIDLANDS PROVIDING FUEL FOR VERY ISOLATED DIURNAL
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WEDNESDAY...SPREADING THROUGH MOST
OF THE FORECAST AREA ON THURSDAY AS A STRONG UPPER LEVEL TROUGH
APPROACHES.

TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN IN THE MID TO UPPER 90S WITH MIN RH
VALUES JUST ABOVE 30 PERCENT. PATCHY LOW CLOUDS AND FOG ARE
POSSIBLE AGAIN WEDNESDAY BUT SHOULD BURN OFF BY MID MORNING
AS DEEP MIXING TAKES PLACE AND THE INVERSION BREAKS. WEAK LOW
LEVEL WINDS ON WEDNESDAY LEAD TO LOWER CONFIDENCE IN TRANSPORT
AND NEAR SURFACE WINDS...WITH INCREASING CONFIDENCE FOR WEST
TO SOUTHWEST TRANSPORT AND SURFACE WINDS OF 10 TO 15 MPH ON
THURSDAY.
