FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
259 PM EDT SUN MAY 1 2016

.DISCUSSION...LESS SHOWER AND THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY IS EXPECTED TONIGHT
THROUGH THE DAYTIME MONDAY WITH ATMOSPHERIC ENERGY LACKING. HOWEVER...
ATMOSPHERIC MOISTURE WILL REMAIN HIGH INTO TUESDAY...WITH A SOUTHERLY
AIRFLOW PESISTING AHEAD OF A SLOWLY APPROACHING COLD FRONT. THIS WILL
KEEP UNSETTLED CONDITIONS ACROSS THE AREA FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS.

LOW-LEVEL MIXING WILL PROMOTE FAIR DISPERSION TONIGHT INTO EARLY
MONDAY MORNING...AND COMBINED WITH CONSIDERABLE CLOUDINESS WILL
INHIBIT ANY SIGNIFICANT FOG DEVELOPMENT.

SURFACE WINDS MONDAY WILL BE FROM THE SOUTHWEST 5 TO 10 MPH AFTER
DAYBREAK...AND INCREASE TO AROUND 10 MPH BY AFTERNOON. TRANSPORT WINDS
WILL INCREASE TO 10 TO 15 MPH. RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL DROP TO
AROUND 55 PERCENT IN THE AFTERNOON.
