.DISCUSSION...THE FIRST IN A SERIES OF UPPER LEVEL WEATHER
DISTURBANCES WILL PASS THROUGH THE REGION THIS MORNING BRINGING
CLOUDS AND RAIN SHOWERS TO THE REGION. A SECONDARY AND MORE POTENT
UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE WILL DROP INTO THE REGION TONIGHT BRINGING
ANOTHER ROUND OF PRECIPITATION. INITIALLY THE PRECIPITATION WILL
START OFF AS RAIN...BUT AS COLDER AIR QUICKLY BUILDS IN...A CHANGE
OVER TO A MIX OF RAIN AND SNOW IS EXPECTED. SOME VERY MINOR
ACCUMULATIONS ON GRASSY AND ELEVATED SURFACES WILL BE POSSIBLE
ACROSS EAST-CENTRAL KENTUCKY. NORTHWESTERLY WINDS WILL PICK UP
TODAY AND BE SUSTAINED AT 15 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS OF 30 TO 35 MPH
BEING POSSIBLE THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT. DRIER AND COLDER
CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED FOR SATURDAY WITH A KILLING FREEZE
EXPECTED SUNDAY MORNING.
