Fire Weather Planning Forecast For West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
305 AM CST Fri Nov 17 2017

.DISCUSSION...
Warm and dry conditions with breezy west in place will result in
elevated to near critical fire weather conditions. Especially across
portions of the Guadalupe Mountains and Southeast New Mexico where 20
foot winds near 20 mph and min RHs 10-15 percent will likely occur
for a brief period this afternoon. A Fire Danger Statement has been
issued instead of a Red Flag Warning for these areas due to fairly
high fuel moisture. Conditions will improve Saturday with the arrival
of a strong cold front.
