FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR EASTERN WASHINGTON AND NORTH IDAHO
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPOKANE WA
501 AM PDT THU SEP 3 2015

.DISCUSSION...

A COLD FRONT EDGES AWAY FROM IDAHO AND SOUTHEAST WASHINGTON AND
STALLS...WHILE A BROAD TROUGH MOVES OVER THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST.
IMPULSES ROUNDING THAT TROUGH WILL BRING THE OCCASIONAL THREAT OF
SHOWERS AND ISOLATED EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORMS. THE BEST THREAT TODAY
WILL BE NEAR THE CASCADES AND CANADIAN BORDER. TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY
THE TROUGH SAGS SOUTH AND INCREASES THE NORTH-TO-SOUTH
WIND...ESPECIALLY DOWN THE OKANOGAN VALLEY AND WESTERN BASIN AND
THEN THROUGH NORTH IDAHO OUT THROUGH THE COEUR D`ALENE AREA.
THERE MAY BE SOME MARGINALLY CRITICAL WIND AND HUMIDITY ISSUES
FRIDAY AFTERNOON. SHOWER AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE
POSSIBLE AGAIN...WITH THE CASCADES AND THE CENTRAL AND LOWER ID
PANHANDLE SEEING THE BEST CHANCES. ALSO TONIGHT INTO FRIDAY
MORNING LOOKS TO BE THE COLDEST OF THE WEEK...WITH PATCHY FROST
POSSIBLE IN NORTHEAST WASHINGTON AND THE FAR NORTHERN PANHANDLE.
SATURDAY STEADIER RAIN CHANCES WILL INCREASE ACROSS EXTREME
EASTERN WASHINGTON AND THE IDAHO PANHANDLE AS THE UPPER TROUGH
EJECTS NORTHEASTWARD. ANOTHER SHOT OF SHOWERS IS POSSIBLE LATE
SUNDAY WITH A PASSING UPPER LEVEL DISTURBANCE. OTHERWISE DRIER AND
WARMER WEATHER IS EXPECTED INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK.
