Fire Weather Planning Forecast for NE Oregon and SE Washington
National Weather Service Pendleton OR
304 PM PDT Tue May 23 2017

...BREEZY/WINDY TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY...
...SCATTERED SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS THURSDAY...

.DISCUSSION...A dry cold front has approached the Olympic Peninsula
and will dive south across the forecast area tonight. Gusty winds
will accompany the front. It will be colder with higher RH`s in
most areas on Wednesday. Another system on Thursday will
destabilize the atmosphere but has limited moisture. Therefore,
there will be cumulus buildups and scattered showers and isolated
thunderstorms with little chance of wetting rain. High pressure
will rebuild for a drying and warming trend Friday through Sunday.
Long-range models are hinting at possible thunderstorms early
next week.

***Thunderstorms imply strong gusty winds***
***Winds are 20 foot 10 minute averages***
***CWR-chance of wetting rain 0.10 or greater***
