Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest and South-Central
Arizona and Southeast California
National Weather Service Phoenix AZ
340 AM MST Sat Apr 29 2017

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT TODAY FOR THE LOWER COLORADO RIVER
VALLEY DUE TO STRONG WINDS...LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND HIGH FIRE
DANGER...

.DISCUSSION...
Elevated winds will continue today but under the speeds observed
on Friday for most districts. Strongest winds will continue for
the Colorado River Valley with daytime gusts 30 to 40 mph.
Single-digit humidities will be common across the lower desert
elevations with fair overnight recoveries. Critical conditions
redevelop for the Lower Colorado River Valley today due to the
elevated winds and low humidities. Considerably lighter winds for
south-central Arizona.

Note...Additional Fire Weather Forecast information can be found
in the Area Forecast Discussion. See product PHXAFDPSR.
