Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest and South-Central
Arizona and Southeast California
National Weather Service Phoenix AZ
214 PM MST Wed Aug 23 2017

.DISCUSSION...
Isolated to scattered afternoon and evening showers and
thunderstorms are anticipated for today mainly across the eastern
half of Arizona. Drier southwest flow will push moisture eastward
and largely confine thunderstorms to the higher terrain east of
Phoenix for Thursday and Friday. Minimum RH values will mostly
range between 15 and 25 percent over the deserts each day. Expect
locally breezy south to southwest flow this afternoon and evening,
with slightly less wind on Thursday.

...Thunderstorms imply gusty winds...
