Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
437 AM MDT Thu Jun 22 2017

.Discussion...

One more hot day is in store for the region today, before a
cold front arrives this evening, bringing much cooler air
area-wide from Friday through Sunday. Isolated thunderstorms
will be possible at most locations this afternoon and evening,
with the best chance for storms along the Palmer Divide and
near the Kansas border. Shower and thunderstorm chances will
continue into the weekend, with the best chance for wetting
rain over the eastern mountains. A gradual warming and
drying trend will develop next week, though lingering moisture
will lead to afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms
over the mountains most days.

Afternoon smoke dispersion will be very good or better across
the entire area today. On Friday, dispersion will be good or
better over the mountains, but only poor to fair over the
plains.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
