FORECAST IS BASED ON INCIDENT TIME OF 1211 AKST ON JANUARY 24.

.DISCUSSION...PRESSURE GRADIENTS AND WINDS ARE SLOWLY SUBSIDING TODAY AS THE LOW
PRESSURE EXITS TO THE EAST. WINDS WILL BE GENERALLY WEST TO SOUTHWEST AT 10 TO 20
MPH TODAY WITH A SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY OVER OPEN WATER. PRESSURE PATTERN IS WEAK
TONIGHT UNDER HIGH PRESSURE. A NEW LOW
PRESSURE WILL BRUSH THE SOUTHERN PANHANDLE LATE ON MONDAY CAUSING A SHIFT BACK
TO NORTH WINDS. ON TUESDAY WINDS WILL SWITCH TO EASTERLY AND INCREASE AS A LOW
APPROACHES FROM THE SOUTHWEST AND EASTERLY TO SOUTHEASTERLY FLOW WILL LIKELY REACH
SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY LEVEL ON TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY. THIS LOW WILL LIKELY
PASS TO THE WEST OF ON THURSDAY WITH SOUTHERLY WINDS IN THE SITKA AREA.
