COASTAL WATERS EAST OF IPSWICH BAY AND THE STELLWAGEN BANK NATIONAL
MARINE SANCTUARY...
MASSACHUSETTS BAY AND IPSWICH BAY...

AT 518 PM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS...CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS TO 40 KNOTS AND SMALL
HAIL...LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM THE MOUTH OF THE MERRIMACK
RIVER TO NEAR ROWLEY...MOVING EAST AT 40 KNOTS.

WINDS GUSTED TO 42 KNOTS AT LAWRENCE AIRPORT AS THE STORMS MOVED
THROUGH.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
PLUM ISLAND...IPSWICH BAY AND SANDY BAY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

FREQUENT LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH THIS STORM.  IF CAUGHT ON THE
OPEN WATER STAY BELOW DECK IF POSSIBLE...KEEP AWAY FROM UNGROUNDED
