THE AREAS AFFECTED INCLUDE...
  LAKE SUPERIOR FROM SAXON HARBOR WI TO UPPER ENTRANCE TO PORTAGE
  CANAL MI 5NM OFF SHORE TO THE US/CANADIAN BORDER INCLUDING ISLE
  ROYAL NATIONAL PARK...

AT 111 AM EDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF STRONG
THUNDERSTORMS...CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WINDS UP TO 33 KNOTS AND SMALL
HAIL. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 20
NM SOUTHEAST OF WINDIGO RANGER STATION TO 14 NM NORTH OF OUTER
ISLAND...MOVING SOUTH AT 20 KNOTS. ALSO...ADDITIONAL ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORMS ARE FORMING CLOSER TO THE KEWEENAW PENINSULA.

LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE...
THE WESTERN LAKE SUPERIOR BUOY.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MARINERS CAN EXPECT GUSTY WINDS UP TO 33 KNOTS AND LOCALLY HIGHER
WAVES. INTENSE LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH THESE STORMS. IF ON THE
OPEN WATER...STAY BELOW DECK IF POSSIBLE...KEEP AWAY FROM UNGROUNDED
METAL OBJECTS.
