...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* TEMPERATURE...Daytime high temperature of 90 to 95 degrees.

* HEAT INDEX...100 to 105 this afternoon

* IMPACTS...Prolonged exposure to heat and humidity may lead to
  heat-related illness if precautions are not taken. This is a
  particular concern for those who are still without power.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Heat Advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity
will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are
possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned
room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and
neighbors.

Objects in the sunlight will be very hot to the touch and could
lead to burns on the skin. Animals left outside could experience
heat related illnesses.
