...FREEZE WARNING FOR INLAND PORTIONS OF ONSLOW AND CARTERET
COUNTIES LATE TONIGHT...

.Strong north-northeast winds along the Outer Banks will diminish
this evening. cold high pressure moving in from the northwest will
allow temperatures to drop to around 30 degrees for inland
portions of carteret and onslow counties late tonight.

...FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 9 AM EDT THURSDAY...

The National Weather Service in Newport/Morehead City has issued
a Freeze Warning, which is in effect from 3 AM to 9 AM EDT
Thursday.

* Temperatures...around 30 inland.

* TIMING...Late tonight through early Thursday morning.

* IMPACTS...Cold temperatures could damage sensitive plants if
  not protected.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or
highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other
sensitive vegetation.

...WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM EDT THIS EVENING...

* Winds...North 25 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.

* TIMING...through early evening.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds can blow around loose objects and could
  blow down some tree limbs.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph or
gusts in excess of 45 mph are expected. Winds this strong can
make driving difficult...especially for high profile vehicles.
Use extra caution.
