Offshore Waters Forecast for Hawaii

Hawaiian offshore waters beyond 40 nautical miles out to 240
nautical miles including the portion of the Papahanaumokuakea
Marine National Monument east of French Frigate Shoals

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average height
of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be more than
twice the significant wave height.

.Synopsis for the Hawaiian offshore waters...
Strong high pressure will remain north of the waters through
Friday, then weaken and shift eastward this weekend as a trough
of low pressure moves into the area from the east and a front
approaches from the northwest. The front is forecast to enter the
northwest waters Monday.

.SUNDAY...Front approaching NW waters Sunday night. SE winds 10
to 20 kt becoming S and decreasing over NW waters late. E to SE
winds 15 to 20 kt SE waters. Seas 7 to 10 ft.
.MONDAY...Front over NW waters. NW waters, variable winds to 15
kt, becoming N 15 to 20 kt W of front late. SE half, E to SE
winds 10 to 15 kt. Seas 7 to 10 ft building to 9 to 12 ft NW
waters late.
