...ELEVATED FIRE DANGER THREAT OVER THE BRUSH COUNTRY AND RIO
GRANDE PLAINS THIS AFTERNOON...

ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE THIS AFTERNOON BEHIND A
COLD FRONT. MOST LIKELY TIME FOR ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS
WILL BE BETWEEN THROUGH 6 PM CST. WINDS ON AVERAGE WILL BE BETWEEN
20 AND 30 MPH WITH OCCASIONAL HIGHER GUSTS. IN ADDITION...MINIMUM
RELATIVE HUMIDITY VALUES WILL FALL BETWEEN 30 AND 40 PERCENT.
CONDITIONS WILL IMPROVE TONIGHT WHEN WINDS DIMINISH AND HUMIDITY
VALUES INCREASE.

RESIDENTS ARE URGED TO EXERCISE CARE WITH RESPECT TO ALL OUTDOOR
ACTIVITIES THAT COULD INADVERTENTLY CAUSE WILDFIRES. AVOID THE USE
OF WELDING OR GRINDING EQUIPMENT NEAR WEEDS...GRASS AND DRY BRUSH.
IN ADDITION...AVOID PARKING VEHICLES IN TALL...DRY GRASS AND WEEDS
THAT COULD BE IGNITED. DO NOT TOSS CIGARETTE BUTTS ON THE GROUND.
REPORT WILDFIRES QUICKLY TO THE NEAREST FIRE DEPARTMENT OR LAW
ENFORCEMENT OFFICE.
