WEATHER SUMMARY FOR NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA

SKIES HAVE CLOUDED OVER DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS THIS AFTERNOON
HOLDING TEMPERATURES TO THE LOWER 80S AND UPPER 70S. SHOWERS
HAVE BEGUN TO PUSH THROUGH NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND MAY LINGER INTO
THE EVENING HOURS MOISTENING THE AIR.

HIGH PRESSURE HAS MOVED OFF TO THE EAST ALLOWING A TROUGH OF LOW
PRESSURE OVER THE HIGH PLAINS TO BEGIN TO APPROACH THE REGION.
THIS SYSTEM ALONG WITH THE INCREASED MOISTURE WILL PROVIDE A
CHANCE FOR SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS BEGINNING LATE TONIGHT.
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS MAY CONTINUE INTO THE MORNING
SATURDAY...THEN WILL BECOME OFF AND ON DURING THE DAY ON SATURDAY.
A MORE ORGANIZED CLUSTER OF STORMS WILL MOVE THROUGH NORTHERN
ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA TOMORROW NIGHT. SOME OF THESE
STORMS MAY BE STRONG TO SEVERE WITH HEAVY DOWNPOURS...GUSTY WINDS
AND HAIL. HIGHS ON SATURDAY AND SUNDAY WILL BE IN THE LOW TO MID
80S.

MUCH BELOW AVERAGE TEMPERATURES WILL DOMINATE THE REGION NEXT WEEK
AS A STRONG COLD FRONT MOVES THROUGH MONDAY. HIGHS NEXT WEEK
WILL GENERALLY BE IN THE LOW TO MID 70S.
