Weather Summary for Eastern Nebraska and Southwest Iowa

Scattered showers rolled north to south across eastern Nebraska and
southwest Iowa during the afternoon, and by late evening, there were
still some isolated showers drifting south. Skies remained mostly
cloudy as well. North winds of 10 to 15 mph kept temperatures a
little chilly during the evening, with 9 PM readings mostly in the
low to mid 50s.

The low pressure system that brought showers and a few thunderstorms
to Mid America Tuesday afternoon and evening will continue its slow
southward drift from Iowa this evening to northern Arkansas by late
Wednesday afternoon. The coverage of showers will dwindle across
Nebraska and Iowa overnight, but showers will still be possible in
Missouri and far eastern Kansas. The same holds true for Wednesday
morning, with thunderstorms becoming more likely Wednesday afternoon
in central and southern Missouri.

Otherwise skies are forecast to remain mostly cloud across Mid
America, with some clearing skies expected in western South Dakota
and Western Nebraska. It will get rather chilly there, with lows by
Wednesday morning in the lower 30s, prompting the issuance of Frost
Advisories for parts of southwest South Dakota and northwest
Nebraska. The rest of the region should see lows in the upper 30s to
upper 40s. High temperatures Wednesday afternoon are expected to
rebound into the 70s in western sections of South Dakota, Nebraska
and Kansas, with the rest of the region seeing highs in the 60s.
