...SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR EASTERN FRANKLIN AND SOUTHERN
LAWRENCE COUNTIES UNTIL 145 PM CDT...

At 117 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of strong
thunderstorms 9 miles north of Ashridge, or 12 miles northeast of
Haleyville. This storm was nearly stationary. Another strong storm
is nearly stationary 3 miles south of Moulton.

Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm. Very
heavy rainfall is occurring in areas where it has been raining for at
least an hour. Ponding of water and flooding of low lying areas is
possible.

Locations impacted include...
Russellville, Moulton, Phil Campbell, Mt Hope, Speake, Tharptown,
Duketon, Rockwood, Wren and Landersville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Strong gusty winds will be capable of knocking down small tree limbs
along with other small unsecured items. Seek safe shelter until this
storm has passed.

Very heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
