SYNOPSIS
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GAYLORD MI
1048 AM EST TUE JAN 17 2017

A STORM SYSTEM LIFTING ACROSS THE SOUTHERN GREAT LAKES...WILL EXIT
EAST INTO THE MID ATLANTIC TONIGHT. THIS SYSTEM WILL GENERATE SOME
RAIN AND FREEZING RAIN OVER NORTHERN MICHIGAN INTO THIS EVENING.

HOWEVER...A LARGE AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL PUSH INTO THE REGION
TONIGHT AND BECOME ANCHORED OVER THE EASTERN ONE THIRD OF THE
COUNTRY THROUGH FRIDAY. THIS PATTERN WILL GENERATE MAINLY DRY
CONDITIONS AND WELL ABOVE NORMAL TEMPERATURES ACROSS NORTHERN
MICHIGAN INTO THE WEEKEND.

HIGH TEMPERATURES TODAY...WILL RANGE FROM THE MID 30S NORTH...TO THE
LOWER 40S SOUTH.

LOW TEMPERATURES TONIGHT...WILL RANGE FROM THE 20S NORTH TO THE 30S
SOUTH.

HERE IS THE HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR NORTHERN LOWER AND EASTERN
UPPER MICHIGAN.

SECONDARY AND UNTREATED ROAD SURFACES WILL REMAIN ICE COVERED AND
SLIPPERY TODAY AND TONIGHT.
