...WINTER STORM WARNING WILL EXPIRE AT 9 AM AKST THIS MORNING...

Snow showers will continue to diminish in intensity through the
rest of the day. Upwards of 3 inches of sleet was reported in
Sitka overnight, 12 inches of snow total was reported in
Petersburg, and 5 inches was reported at Wrangell.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT AKST
TONIGHT...

* LOCATION...Portions of the central and northern inner channels
  including Juneau and Gustavus.

* SNOW...5 to 11 inches. Additional significant snow may also
  occur Thursday.

* TIMING...Snow showers will continue through the day and will be
  heavy at times before diminishing overnight.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be very hazardous. Heavy snow will be
  difficult to manage.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A warning means that a winter storm is already occurring or
imminent. This storm could pose a threat to life and property.

This statement will be updated by 6 pm AKST Wednesday or sooner
if conditions warrant.

* LOCATION...Portions of the eastern Gulf Coast and central
  Inner Channels including Hoonah, Pelican, and Elfin Cove.

* SNOW...Additional 3 to 10 inches. Additional significant snow
  may also occur Thursday.

* TIMING...Snow showers will persist through late Wednesday
  evening. Heaviest snow amounts will occur this afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be hazardous. Heavy wet snow will be
  difficult to manage.
