...ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL EXPECTED ACROSS THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS OF
EASTERN TENNESSEE...SOUTHWEST VIRGINIA...AND FAR SOUTHWEST NORTH
CAROLINA...

.RAINFALL WILL CONTINUE THIS EVENING INTO TONIGHT AND SWITCH OVER
TO SNOWFALL IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS. WIDESPREAD SNOWFALL
ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES ARE EXPECTED WITH ISOLATED AREAS
RECEIVING HIGHER AMOUNTS...MAINLY ON THE HIGHEST PEAKS. IN
ADDITION...THERE IS A CHANCE THAT RAIN THAT HAS ALREADY FALLEN WILL
FREEZE EARLY TOMORROW MORNING AS TEMPERATURES DROP BELOW FREEZING.
FROZEN SURFACES WILL LEAD TO TREACHEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS. THIS
CHANCE REMAINS LOW HOWEVER SINCE BREEZY WINDS SHOULD HELP TO KEEP
ROADWAYS AND OTHER SURFACES DRY.
