URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...Winter brings accumulating snow to Central Idaho today...

Snow showers, moderate or even heavy at times, are expected across
the Wood River Valley and Sawtooth Mountains this morning
which will continue through the afternoon. Those traveling across
mountain summits should be prepared for accumulating snow and
icy/snowy conditions. Blowing and drifting snow is a risk as well,
primarily after the snow has fallen later this evening.

...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM EARLY THIS MORNING
TO 6 PM MST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Accumulating snow expected. Plan on icy or snowy road
  conditions. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches at valley
  floors, with localized amounts up to 8 inches above 6500 ft,
  are expected.

* WHERE...Across the Sawtooth Mountain Range and Big and Little
  Wood River Valleys, including Galena Summit and Banner Summit.

* WHEN...From 5 AM early this morning to 6 PM MST this evening.
  Most of the snowfall will occur this morning, affecting the
  morning commute.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Be prepared for reduced visibilities at
  times. Give yourself additional time on your commute this
  morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means periods of snow will
cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow covered
roads and limited visibilities. The latest road conditions can be
obtained by calling 5 1 1.
