AN ICE STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM PST SATURDAY.

* TIMING...THROUGH TONIGHT.

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...ADDITIONAL ICE ACCUMULATION OF AROUND ONE
  HALF OF AN INCH EXPECTED BY EARLY SATURDAY MORNING. THIS
  WILL BRING TOTAL ICE ACCUMULATIONS SINCE THURSDAY TO THREE
  QUARTERS OF AN INCH TO ONE AND A HALF INCHES.

* IMPACTS...TRAVEL WILL BE EXTREMELY DIFFICULT IF NOT
  IMPOSSIBLE IN SOME AREAS. HIGHWAYS 84 AND 14 WILL BE
  TREACHEROUS DUE TO SUBSTANTIAL ICING. SIGNIFICANT TREE
  DAMAGE AND POWER OUTAGES ARE LIKELY. IT MAY TAKE A COUPLE
  DAYS FOR SOME SECONDARY ROADS TO THAW SUFFICIENTLY FOR
  TRAVEL.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

AN ICE STORM WARNING MEANS SEVERE WINTER WEATHER CONDITIONS ARE
EXPECTED OR OCCURRING. SIGNIFICANT ICING WILL MAKE TRAVEL
DANGEROUS OR IMPOSSIBLE. TRAVEL IS STRONGLY DISCOURAGED. IF YOU
MUST TRAVEL...KEEP AN EXTRA FLASHLIGHT...FOOD...AND WATER IN YOUR
VEHICLE IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY. ICE ACCUMULATIONS AND WINDS WILL
LIKELY LEAD TO FALLING TREE BRANCHES AND SNAPPED POWER LINES THAT
WILL ADD TO THE DANGER.

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...AN ADDITIONAL 4 TO 8 INCHES OF SNOW ARE
  EXPECTED THROUGH TONIGHT...BRINGING TOTALS SINCE THURSDAY UP
  TO 10 TO 18 INCHES.

* IMPACTS...SNOW WILL MAKE TRAVEL EXTREMELY DIFFICULT ALONG
  INTERSTATE 84 AND HIGHWAY 14 AS WELL AS IN THE SOUTH
  WASHINGTON CASCADES.

  30S. AREAS NEAR TROUTDALE AND THE WEST HILLS MAY CONTINUE TO SEE
  SOME LIGHT ICING THROUGH LATE TONIGHT.

* AMOUNTS...UP TO ONE TENTH OF AN INCH OF ADDITIONAL
  ACCUMULATION WHERE TEMPERATURES REMAIN BELOW FREEZING.

* IMPACTS...SNOW AND ICE HAVE MADE MANY ROADS...SIDEWALKS...AND
  BIKE PATHS IN THE PORTLAND AND VANCOUVER METRO AREA SLICK.
  AS TEMPERATURES SLOWLY WARM...IMPACTS WILL BECOME
  INCREASINGLY CONFINED TO THE WEST HILLS AND AREAS NEAR THE
  COLUMBIA GORGE. TRAVEL ON UNTREATED ROADS WILL CONTINUE TO
  BE DIFFICULT IN THESE AREAS INTO THIS EVENING.
