THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SHREVEPORT HAS ISSUED A WINTER
WEATHER ADVISORY FOR LIGHT FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET...WHICH IS IN
EFFECT UNTIL NOON CST TODAY.

* EVENT...AREAS OF LIGHT FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET WILL CONTINUE
  MOVING NORTHEAST ACROSS PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST TEXAS AND
  SOUTHWEST ARKANSAS...RESULTING IN LIGHT ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF UP
  TO SEVERAL HUNDREDTHS OF AN INCH.

* TIMING...THE LIGHT FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET WILL CONTINUE THROUGH
  MID-MORNING BEFORE CHANGING OVER TO RAIN AS SURFACE TEMPERATURES
  CLIMB ABOVE FREEZING.

* IMPACT...LIGHT ICE ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED ON ELEVATED
  OBJECTS SUCH AS BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES...AS WELL AS SOME TREES
  AND POWER LINES. THIS LIGHT ACCUMULATION OF ICE WILL RESULT IN
  HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS...ESPECIALLY ON BRIDGES AND OVERPASSES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW
WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW OR ICE
